Let our experts guide you to the best choice for you

Your specific need will determine the foam type Adfoam will use for your custom-made foam solution. Ranging from non-static to soundproofing, from cost-efficient freight weight to ultra shock absorbent and a whole range of mix and match options in between. Let our experts guide you on the best choice for you, based on how you’d like it to perform.

Non cross-linked polyethylene

This material is recommended for high-value products over 10 kilos. Because of the thinner cushions needed, designs using this material often have cheaper cartons and therefore reduced shipping costs.

It resists tearing, cracking, crumbling and creep. It’s moisture-resistant and is virtually unaffected by most industrial chemicals. It springs back after repeated impacts, loading and flexing, no matter how heavy the part. It can be washed with soap and water. Economical die-cutting and sawing are all that is typically needed to fabricate a custom fit.

Pros

• Multiple impact protection
• Flexible
• Lightweight
• Higher load bearing
• Chemically resistant
• Easily fabricated

Cons

• Requires fabrication
• Porous
• Slightly abrasive

Flexible polyurethane

This foam is 97% air, 3% plastic and contains only carbon, nitrogen and hydrogen molecules. Main use in bedding and upholstering. It is ideal for packaging electronic goods and computers when very low levels of shock (less than 40 G’s) are required.

We can supply you with a shock absorbing polyurethane foam pad that you can either glue onto a die-cut cardboard carrier or fabricated end piece to act as a product buffer. Technically it falls into the flexible thermoset foam group.

Recycling by shredding into crumb and bonded into sheet for carpet underlay. Contact us if you would like any other technical information.

Convoluted polyurethane

Convoluted polyurethane has varied uses from case lids to sound proofing. It is also called egg crate foam owing to the visual shape. We can provide convoluted foam in various convolutions such as 10/20, 20/40 and 20/50mm. It can be cut to suitable sizes as per your need. It is available in different densities and grade. It is often used in lids of cases and in sound proofing. The sheet size is 2057 x 1422 mm.
